This is a small school and it currently has no true parenting body. We would love for a church to take over financial responsibility of paying teachers, purchasing supplies, and providing school meals. However, if such a parenting body is not found, individuals can support in one of the following ways:
Sponsor a teacher. This school is still unparented, as mentioned in other sections, but is running on what little parents and director can muster up. But the norm in other grassroots schools we work with is that depending on the amount of shifts a teacher works as well as his or her time working at the school, he or she is paid between $100 and $300 US each month. This pay does not allow teachers to have a very luxurious lifestyle, obviously, and we would love to increase it, but fundraising being as difficult as it is, this has not been possible yet with other similar schools. Teacher sponsors are invited to remain in communication with the teacher they support.
Become a monthly sponsor. If you would like to donate monthly toward the general needs of the school, you can join us as a monthly sponsor donating $30 or more monthly. Funds can be sent via check, paypal, or direct deposit. E-mail GrassrootsSchools@gmail.com to receive the monthly sponsor forms. If you have funds you would like to donate to meet the school's greatest needs, please e-mail GrassrootsSchools@gmail.com. We have no problem with donors sharing specific desires for the spending of funds donated as long as it fits in with the school's needs and also no problem with providing proof of the ways funds are spent.
In the future we hope to have student sponsorships available but first the school must get some sort of base funding and attention.
