About the Ebenezer Institute
Before March 2014, many children of the predominantly Haitian community of Los Algodones spent their days without school and educational attention. The 7th Day Adventist church in the area decided to take initiative and began the challenging process of opening and maintaining a school. So far, the teachers and several motivated community members have been working voluntarily and with small funds in order to stock with supplies and teach preschool, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. Currently, the Ebenezer Institute is the educational home to over 120 students.
